What can you find in Gift Gate Malaysia? Voting for Cinnamoroll

I flew all the way to Malaysia just to vote for my favorite Sanrio character, Cinnamoroll! Although his five-year winning streak ended, it doesn’t really make me sad or anything since it’s always a good idea to let someone else win. This year, Cinnamoroll only got second place but he’s still number one in my heart. However, if Milk was included in the contest, I would probably have voted for him instead.

Why did I have to fly outside the Philippines to vote for Cinnamoroll?
I mean my main agenda was not really to vote for him but it just happened that the offline voting was also taking place when I visited Gift Gate Malaysia. When I was young, I used to drool over the Sanrio stuff when I passed by Gift Gate in SM Megamall. I had always wanted to buy the things there and if memory serves me right, I don’t think I asked my parents to buy me the things. When I was younger, I was usually hesitant to ask for things that they might perceive as too expensive. I was told that my grandparents didn't like it when we come home from the mall with a lot of things. Fast forward to the present, I can now afford to buy the things but unfortunately, Gift Gate already closed all their stores in the Philippines.

Gift Gate Philippines was a simple boutique where you go in to browse and buy stuff. However, Gift Gate Malaysia had all sorts of gimmicks inside. They even had a claw machine inside! There were gashapon machines and a photobooth. There were also things which you can customize.

They also had a bunch of freebies and promos when I dropped by.

After buying the things we wanted, we were given these rubber bands to vote for our favorite Sanrio character. Of course, everything went to Cinnamoroll!
